We had an amazing day carving pumpkins together! We did a weekly reader and smart board activity about pumpkins. We also did a KWL chart and we talked about describing words. We used our senses  to come up with describing words about pumpkins! Then of course to top it off a pumpkin writing using details! LOVED it! Love my kids, what a GREAT day!!!!

We are so excited to have two practicum students hanging out with us for 40 hrs before Thanksgiving! I'm sure they will see a lot as first graders just suck you in!

Get the Egg read by Room #3!

This week we are looking forward to our chicks hatching!  It will be very exciting!!!

We will be doing this weeks story for two weeks.  Appropriately it is Get the Egg!  We are doing it for two weeks due to Model Curriculum Testing next week.

Getting into the Halloween spirit!  Witch fingers used as pointers to read! The kids LOVED it!  Anything to get them reading!

LOTS OF LEARNING GOING ON IN FIRST GRADE!!!!!   



The kids are very excited about our eggs!  We cant wait to hatching day roughly around October 15th!!!!  If I had a dollar for every time the kids asked me when they would hatch or that they see them moving I wouldnt have to teach anymore!!! :o) So EXCITED!
